TU has two cream puffs on their schedule, two road games against Top 50 teams and UConn at home. They appear to have a good chance to make the NCAA tournament.

91 ED.....Wow "Crickets" were heard acccompanying your thread...... What were you smoking when you posted this fantasy of yours?
Joegrane, aren't there 351 D1 schools?? TU does deserve a pat on the back for survivng against the tough ECU squad.Last edited by T.D-Bag; 02-15-2015, 12:17 PM.

There aren't any teams in the Big east with an RPI worse than 135.
TU now has to play two good teams on the road. They have to at least play very competitively in them.
LaSalle might have to almost win out to get in. They might make the NIT
It is a solid year for the Big 5 when they get two teams into the NCAA Tourney and another makes the NIT.

.... "everyone wants to draw Nova"..... that is horseshit this year and you know it.
Is the boy toucher coach still on the pine next to the crybaby SU HC? How long have they been breaking the rules at SU? Let's hope the NCAA bangs them hard with sanctions.
JB is a good coach and recruiter, but if he's dirty......
No way Jay would go to Cuse. but it is funny how everyone hates VU but covets our coach.

Temple was going to hire Brunson, why didn't they? No need for him on the staff once they couldn't lure Jalen to N. Broad?
30 point lead over the Hall and they start throwing flagrant elbows....Last edited by T.D-Bag; 02-16-2015, 09:45 PM.

It was tough to get a read on his recruitment -- until his father, Rick Brunson, was on the verge of being hired as an assistant coach at Temple. The thought was that his son would follow, and the Owls would land a five-star prospect. Then Rick Brunson was arrested for an alleged sexual assault, and the job rumors soon disappeared. As did Temple's status as the frontrunner. Michigan State looked to make up some ground, but visits to Illinois and Villanova cemented those two as the leaders.
If the kid wanted to play for championships, he would have chose Michigan State. Yeah, Jay Wright has taken Nova to two elite 8s (1 final four) since taking over, but in the same timeframe, Izzo has taken his team to six elite 8s (four final 4s).
After TU ditched Rick, for Jalen it became about sticking it to us, first and foremost. I know you know that.Last edited by Sect 236; 02-16-2015, 10:06 PM.

I thought the UConn matchup last year was going to be tough for Nova. Teams with an NBA caliber PG or combo guard are usually dangerous in March.
This year they are also somewhat vulnerable to teams with a long athletic front court. The length can neutralize the shorter Pinkston at PF, especially when he has to play C. It also tends to neutralize Ochefu at C.
In that situation it becomes critical for Nova's guards to hit a solid percentage of their shots. They have enough depth that they usually have a hot hand or two.
Therefore I like their odds of making it to the second weekend. However, they don't have an NBA caliber PG or combo guard. They also are winning with the help of their depth. That does not work as well in the tournament. I don't like the odds of such teams to make it to the Elite 8.

I understand why you defend Nova, no problem there, just don't ignore what really happened in your quest.

MSU has missed on alot of 4 and 5 star recruits recently, they are no closer than Nova to Championships today or in the near future.
