So now Philly essentially has two top 5 picks?

They only get Lakers pick if it falls outside top 5, so essentially 6-30. They get the Heat pick if it falls from 11-30. They get OKC pick if it falls 19-30.

Could potentially have 4 first round picks this year.

          Yeah, here's the deal:

first round pick (protected top 5 in 2015, top 3 in 2016-17, unprotected in 2018)

The question is really whether they will pick in the top 5. Whether they finish in the bottom 5 is likely.

Not a fan of the KJ trade. I think he could have been a solid player off the bench when (if) they actually get good.

Maybe they can package some of their infinite 2nds to get another 1st..

Meh, I wasn't a fan. He makes some highlight reel plays, but he looks like he has a pretty low ceiling.

I agree but isn't he a free agent at the end of the season? Maybe they knew he'd sign elsewhere so they got something for him.

Is Canaan now the starting PG?! Essentially he is an All-Star caliber D Leaguer.

I don't get the McDaniels trade.

What's not to get? They have a similar and more athletic player in Jerami Grant who has a multi year contract (KJ only signed a 1 year deal). They got in return a 2nd round pick and a potential rotational guy in Isiaiah Canaan.

I agree. Once Grant started making threes he became more valuable than KJ. Grant is locked up for a couple of years but KJ becomes a restricted FA this year.

I wasn't aware he was on a 1-year deal. That does change things for me, although it'd be nice to see some of these guys actually develop.

If someone offered me a front row ticket to a sixers game I would only accept it if it came with

                              2. free parking
