The Flyers were at one point in line to get one of the top two picks now they could conceivably make the playoffs. I guess it doesn't really matter until some of those old contracts burn off, but whether you talk Flyers or Phillies, you've got issues. I exempt the Sixers because at least they have a plan.
What I worry about is that the Sixers keep executing the plan because it's a brilliant strategy, but keep pushing off draft picks until they own the entire first round one year.
