Actually I never "agreed" to that. I said I recognized why it was done, and would rather they played in the BIG 5 since I spent my youth in the Palestra with my father watching games and enjoying the Saturday double headers.
It is never mentioned that TU played in the same conference with SJU and LU, hence was playing them regardless and wanted to play its home games on N Broad. ( why did they build the Apollo?)
Other teams with aspirations and funding issues can take the money and switch conferences but Rollie is solely to blame? I would rather they continued the full round robin but he felt otherwise while competing in the toughest (18 team) league in CBB.
BTW, Who were the creampuffs that TU played in those years? Also, why did TU bolt the A-10 two years ago?
