It's a simple theory. If they don't land two good defensive players then they have to draft for those positions early and often. If they sign them perhaps they pick up a wr to replace maclin in the first the round. Green-Beckham would look good in green

Green-Beckham has so much baggage, though. That's what's gonna be so difficult about this upcoming draft. We don't know how many players meet Kelly's culture-fit criteria.

That's why going into the draft with ANY glaring needs would make me very nervous. There may be 5 great WRs on the board when we draft, but if none of them are Chip Kelly's 'type,' we may pass on all of them.

Maclin was great last year, especially considering he had two noodle-armed bums throwing him the ball. I don't worry about his performance on the field as much as I worry about him being able to stay on the field. He stayed incredibly healthy after betting on himself. I hope they find a fair amount and agree on it. He's a good player.
