Philly will be a college football town, at least on Sept. 5 when Penn State invades and Halloween Oct. 31 when Notre Dame comes to town, both against Temple. Should be some nice crowds both games.
Diggle and I went last time PSU was in town and it was a great atmosphere. A lot of good-natured trash talk and a great game. Temple controlled the action most of the game until the chicken showed up in what proved to be one of JoePa's last games coaching. The time before that Diggle and IE went and had a good time.
Notre Dame always travels well and has always had a huge turnout when they have played Navy here. To my knowledge this will be the Irish's first visit to Philly to play Temple. If it happened before you have to go back to the 50s at the latest.
Anyway...could be a great opportunity for a college game day GAYte.
