This is where the whole Chip/Howie dynamic confuses me. He's being cut cause both sides couldn't agree on a contract but what if Chip wants to keep him? Can Chip force Howie's hand to make him pay what Trent wants?

Don't let it confuse you. Howie wanted Chip. He got him and made him the 5th highest paid coach in NFL history. Chip turned around around and sent a Howie to the last cubicle on the left right under the exit sign. all eagle personnel will be the result of what Chip wants. Maybe he doesn't get everyone he wants but Howie will have nothing to do with it. The only questions debating are ...What condition will the Eagles be in when Chip leaves....and......how long will it take the next coach to rebuild? Chip is Howie's man. Nuff said.
