When chip does what it takes to get Mariota. Too much smoke for there not to be something behind it.

I'm already dreading the inevitable hundred threads in 5 minutes that Iowa makes when he finally snaps.

.....was thinking 2 1sts and Foles for thier pick to the Eagles would be a good deal.

But I think they have to get to the Titans' spot at 2. Thinking 2 firsts, Foles, Boykin, and probably this year's two...probably more.

I think this whole MM shirt is just that......a crock of shit.

          A. I don't see Chip pulling a Littlest Telemarketer and trading away all those much needed picks.

          B. I don't think MM is all that. He has a whole lot to learn to QB in the pros.

          C. These stories of the Iggles going after MM are the product of, and kept alive by, the idiotic talking heads that do nothing to earn their keep save come up with total bullshit like this.

I think the biggest bargaining chip they had to keep them from giving up a boatload of picks just went to Buffalo.

              I tend to agree....seems like a smokescreen.

.....and FOs part, and clickbait for the media...it certainly gave Brian Mitchell and Co plenty to talk about yesterday....even had Ike Reese on for more " insight".

They were all celebrating Shady was out of the division.

But a general belief prevails....the Eagles are not done and stay tuned.

I felt the same way, now I'm not so sure. Trading McCoy opens things right up. Holes he planned to fill in the draft he might fill in free agency. One thing I do know, Kelly doesn't give a fuck what any of us think. If MM is his guy, he's going to get him (and he should IMO) but there is no room for error.

Me too actually ... he could justify burning the picks by saying he used FA to fill the defensive holes (and now maybe even the RB hole) better then he could have with the draft.

I'm not totally convinced it's not going to happen but I think the Eagles are doing a good job of letting speculation run wild and saying nothing. The idea that this is a smokescreen to get Hundley is intriguing.

but Greenstealth and slag have a point. Regardless, the foreskinners paid too much for RGforeskin. Lets hope the Eagles don't repeat that mistake

I agree they need to jump to #2. However, I think they include Foles and Cox in the deal. Tennessee needs DL help. I also think if it happens, it gets done by Tuesday when FA opens up. This way, the Birds can sign Suh to replace Cox! (Yeah, right)

I think the Eagles differ somewhat than Washington in this situation because the Eagles have cap space. When Washington gave up all those picks for RG3, weren't they still in cap-hell for circumventing the (illegal?) gentleman's agreement during the un-capped year?

I thought they had lots of holes to fill and only the draft to fill them. The Eagles have the draft and money for FA's.

I could be wrong on the timeline for Washington though.

But filling out the roster through FA certainly puts the Eagles in a risky salary cap position in the future. One, which by filling it out via the draft, doesn't happen. Besides the obvious, the gamble isn't just on MM, it's on all those FAs living up to their cost because the contracts lock them in for a few years without being replaced.
