I was watching sportscenter today, while working from home, and they had Maxwell on for a "Match Game" like spot. He ultimately (blindly) picked the Jags, but seems pretty disappointed he didn't get the birds. Obviously, we should read into this.

That being said, Dawk was the Eagles person and he looked like he was pitching them pretty well.

He has to say such things to hope there is a bidding war.

When Maxwell found out the birds "weren't the team", he said something to the effect of wanting to do it over (implying that he wanted to go to Philly)

I hope they don't give Maxwell more than 5 mill a year.

regardless of team will be along the 8-10 million/season over the life of the contract. Brandon Carr got $10 million a season average from Jerruh a few years ago. Even though Jerruh is straight nuts, Carr's and Sherman's deals are helping to set Maxwell's market price.

This. 5 mil per season is a pipe dream.
