I never said that - I said when recruiting Hundley was his prefered qb over Mariota. But Hundley decided to sign with UCLA -- Chip then settled for Mariota

We fix the defense in free agency - then trade future top draft picks away for a Rookie - who has rarely ever played under center having to make 3 and 7 step drops = while actually making reads in the NFL against much faster and tougher defenses. Actually having to throw into tight windows most of the game not to wide open wrs. Shotgun formation at the goal line is always suspect. Why put the ball a couple of yards back during a play when you are that close? Bad things can happen. Not to mention the defense is going to play a little different if you are in a shotgun at the goal line.

I can see doing it one in a while as a change of pace.
