Tell me how you think "Chip thinks he has him"? Has Kelly come out and said he wants to draft him? NO. Has anyone else DEFINITELY said that he wants Mariota to start with? NO. It's been all speculation by the media. For all everyone knows, he could trade back twice, pick up extra draft picks and draft Brett Hundley in the 1st. Now he has all kinds of holes to fill and he can't do it in FA. Some of you guys act like Kelly is stupid. After two seasons of 10-6 and at least one playoff appearance (and loss) I think the guy deserves the benefit of the doubt. If he trades Foles for a 2nd--and trades back twice to pick up extra 3rd round picks he can get Hundley in the 1st and then start filling holes in the secondary, WR and OL. Let's just wait until HE says what his plan is before we assume too much.

Exactly, except I'm not sure how much you can trade back and still reasonably draft Hundley. Regardless of whether they draft Hundley or another rookie QB the picks are gonna come from when they deal Foles.

I haven't heard any mention of the kid that Kelly recruited that left when Mariota won the job. Bryan Bennett or something like that. He transferred and had a very solid college career at Southern Louisiana.

Yes they did mention him on ESPN about 2 weeks ago. They said Chip was higher on this kid than anyone until Mariota came into the picture, I would much rather see this than Mariota or Hundley.
