I saw someone point this out on Twitter...Gore played for Harbaugh and Singletary. You're telling me Chip is worse than those two?

      Gore was afraid.

He could not keep up. Also that story makes a nice cover for backing out for more money.
More wood on the chip Kelly fire

So Gore agrees to a deal, backs out, and he has something negative to say about Chip?! To me this situation says a lot more about Gore...

Do you have a link? I couldn't find it.

            Nevermind. Found it.
Free-agent running back Frank Gore had second thoughts about joining the Philadelphia Eagles because of the team's personnel and coach Chip Kelly's approach, and that is why he is now leaning toward the Indianapolis Colts, sources told FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo.

Say he's trying to jam a round college program into a square NFL hole.

Ridiculing him for having the team all wearing sweat suits ... this is belittling to "grown men" according to Ikey.

Also claiming Kelly will have Sanchez as the starter with or without Mariotta.

Foles is gone ... with or without Mariotta, according to these guys.

I'm thinking Maniac either listens or writes their material.
They can kill him all they want but nobody knows who is coming here or if they will get Mariota.

Maybe they're getting their material from Howie Roseman.

Les Bowen made a pretty good point on Twitter. You can fill a lot of the holes on the roster in the draft but if the Eagles trade up, with this many holes to fill they're screwed.

                  Les is a hater.

My question is why blow up a relatively young 10-6 team? Doesn't an incremental approach make more sense?

Not if your "up-tempo" Chip Kelly and you want it now? I just think he didn't see this club getting much better than they were, so drag it out, or blow it up?

Say what you want about Kelly but he lives and breathes football and he's not an idiot. Just because rank amateurs/football know-nothings don't understand his process doesn't make it wrong. So unless you believe he's deliberately destroying the team so he can go back to college, the obvious assumption is that he thinks he's building a team that can win a superbowl.

Yeah, he seems to be a real visionary.

They weren't that young. They ranked 19th in average age (26.26) entering 2014.

Most of their recent moves have actually have gotten them younger.

                          Edit to add:

I do agree that Les is a hater. He bitches constantly about the Eagles not giving him enough information although I can't remember the last time he had a scoop. Maybe I just missed them. His snark is ok at times (and I like snark) but he comes across to me as lazy more than anything. Especially compared to many of the younger writers on philly.com, phillymag, etc.

Granted, it's interesting and he thinks he building a winner. But so does every other coach in the league.

I don't buy into all smoothies and sweatsuits. I think at the NFL level you need to accept players you might not like. The league is full of spoiled talent.

I have to agree with Riccardo on this one and just wait and see what the product looks like that gets trotted out on the field later this summer.
