Are you saying I haven't seen a lot of Badford and am off base?

I'll be a bit more of a dick about it and say you don't really have your own opinions. Just whatever you're regurgitating from the last talking head you heard.

Think you know me better than that based on this board the past 16 years.

Bottom line: if this trade want made contingent on packaging Bradford for a move before draft or season then it's a terrible move. Even when healthy Bradford is no better than Foles and possibly worse.

Ok I take it back. No talking head thinks a healthy Bradford is worse than a healthy Foles.

A healthy Bradford is an oxymoron at this stage.

Again, I'm sure we are moving him before the season. There's gotta be another angle and pending move on this.

It's all about his health. If he stays healthy it's a huge upgrade. He had all the tools coming out of college he was AAA grade prospect a blue-chip player. He was the 2010 drafts Andrew Luck. He was drafted #1 overall by a bad team with little talent and he kept getting injured. Health has been his issue. It's been a long time since the Eagles have had a player with this much talent lining up behind center. Time will tell.

Give them a few days to get over the shock before expecting anything rational

I tend to agree with you, but playing devil's advocate, the following line:

Doesn't have Stafford/Sanchez level of upside

scares the crap out of me.

he wasn't talked about being a luck-type of player. not at all.

he has talent, but let's not pretend he is an Andrew Luck type talent.

The bottom line is they've improved the talent and skill set at the position. IMO this moves makes trading up to get MM less likely. Unless they hope to flip him to the Jets on draft day.

It's not about Foles for me. At all. I don't think he's all that. But trading Foles and a 2 for Bradford, on the surface, seems crazy. Absolutely makes no sense. Bradford doesn't give Kelly a dual threat QB that his system sorely needed. It gives him a oft injured pocket passer. Similar to what he already had.

Foles for kaepernik would have made sense for Kelly's system. Waiting to see what happens and think Bradford must be part of an additional move. If not it's just dumb trading for Bradford. He's proven he cannot stay on field and when he does is nothing special.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe Chip can convert Marcus Phuckin' Smith into a viable WR threat.

It is clear that if he keeps Bradford all those thinking mobility was the reason Kelly wanted Foles gone were wrong.

If that's the case he better take the "handoff to RB or QB Keeps around the right end"
Play out of his playbook entirely. Nobody bit on it last year with Foles and Sanchez and surely won't respect Bradford keeping it around the end.

Also, he'd be on IR by end of sept running that play. Gotta keep him clean and away from contact.
