That salary for Bradford is for this year. If Bradford fails, they move on and he's a FA. If he succeeds, they resign him. Shady and Cole were on the books past next year.

Bradford has more upside. Has taken on his salary stopped them from signing a player they wanted? Seems to me the players they wanted and missed out on were before the Bradford trade.

The 2nd stings, but if Kelly is right and Bradford has some miraculous turnaround, the 2nd was a bargain.

Edit to add: This all looks like a clusterfuck, but isn't that pretty much status quo for Philly sports. There will be a time when I get worked up and pissed at how things played out, that's inevitable, but I'm just withholding that anger until it's totally warranted. Anyone else who wants to be mad now, that's their prerogative and I understand it, I'm just trying a new approach to our sports teams, and trying to remain positive, which will undoubtedly result in even more depressing results.

PS - You (we) better hope Foles does have less upside and that Shurmer couldn't get him to play well ... as opposed to Foles has more talent that Lazor tapped into, and Shurmer sucks and couldn't do that or evaluate talent.

I guess we'll find out if he does or doesn't. Career years have been had by every QB (except old Vick) in Kelly's offense, so if Bradford stays healthy, we'll see where he falls on the Foles-Sanchez scale.

Healthy though, thats going to be the challenge.

Bradford clearly had serious skills but he can't stay on the field ... that's my problem with spending all that money.

As good as Foles was two years ago he was equally as bad last year. Kelly's system needs a qb that can release the ball quickly be accurate and not make mistakes. A healthy Bradford does that better than Foles.
