I was, and am still a Fole-ator, but the difference is that when Bradford had a shit line, the ball came out quickly. If I had to guess what Kelly's biggest beef with Foles was, it was that he held onto the ball for too long.

he struggled...no doubt..but he didn't have 4td passes and 15 int's.
he was inconsistent if anything...which is hardly shocking for a 2nd year starter.
Bradford really does have skills, but he hasn't made anyone better nor can he stay healthy.
If a qb is that good...he makes players better...and so far he has not.
that can change...but until he proves it on the field...he's nothing at this point.“I am going to literally sodomize you on the field of battle. I am going to have non-consensual sex with your face and your butt. Then I’m going after your wife and kid”

I'll absolutely agree that the dude has tools, better tools than Sanchez and Foles. And if the Eagles were inserting him into last year's starting lineup, I think he'd be in a position to succeed if he can stay healthy.
But now Kelly has significantly reshuffled the offensive personnel. Running back by committee appears to be the plan, with last year's best receiver gone. Bradford, even if healthy, is stepping into a new situation with a lot of other moving parts and being asked to succeed (enough so that he solves the QB-of-the-future problem...assuming the future is 5 years, not 10).
And that's leaving aside the injury possibility. Chip likes to say the best ability is durability. Bradford hasn't shown that.

Yeah a lot of people at games were screaming there were multiple open receivers and foles missed even looking at them. If Bradford can be efficient and healthy? upgradeOn Trumps handicap

It's pretty clear that Foles wasn't going to stay on this team.
If he wasn't part of the Bradford trade he almost certainly would have been traded for something else.--

I hope you're right ... I really do.
You've seen him more than me so I have to defer right now.
I will say that if he has the other intangibles to go with the arm you say, this could be better than it looks to me right now.
I also have to say, listening to Kelly I feel a little better but I don't know what's bullshit or not ... he made it sound like he and Foles take saunas together.Last edited by slag; 03-11-2015, 04:50 PM.Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

Paraphrased "NFL is a 1 year league"
Basically we have to win this year or were out.
I just don't agree with that analogy. Sounds like Chip wants to win big or lose fast and leave. I guess I'm excited in some way about the boom or bust aspect, but I've very concerned 2016 rolls around after a 6-10 season with no Chip, no QB, no RB, and no WR and the franchise eats shit for a couple years.

I'm still giving Chip a much longer leash than most.
I don't doubt Bradford can be a Top 10 QB if healthy...but I mean, he's never healthy. He's been knocked out of 3 NFL seasons and 1 college season.

Foles was the luckiest man alive two seasons ago
Time and time again he made a boneheaded play. Time and time again he somehow got away with it.
I'm not sold on Bradford, Mariotta or anyone else that seems within reach. With that being said, it could be that the best thing about last season was Foles getting hurt before he could damage his trade value any further.
