Unless you believe in conspiracy theories you were just proved wrong. Jeff Fisher came out and said that a team called them and offered them a late 1st round pick for him, but they chose the Eagles offer because they wanted a QB, not a draft pick and the Eagles offered Foles.

Who offered the late round 1 pick ?

        16 Houston (9-7)
        17 San Diego (9-7)
        18 Kansas City (9-7)
        19 Cleveland - from Buffalo (9-7)
        20 Philadelphia (10-6)
        21 Cincinnati* (10-5-1)
        22 Pittsburgh* (11-5)
        23 Detroit* (11-5)
        24 Arizona* (11-5)
        25 Carolina* (7-8-1)
        26 Baltimore* (10-6)
        27 Dallas* (12-4)
        28 Denver* (12-4)
        29 Indianapolis* (11-5)
        30 Green Bay* (12-4)
        31 New Orleans - from Seattle* (12-4)
        32New England* (12-4)

Not many teams need QBs at the back of the first round

Might have been saints. If they're shopping everyone makes sense they may want to move brees while they still can.

It's plausible. Eagles offer late first round pick, Fisher turns the deal down. Eagles later offer Foles plus picks, Fisher takes the deal.

I'll go with Arizona but Dallas would make a lot of sense, if they had sense.

Yep, saw that too -- St. Louis preferred Foles over the low first rounder they were offered for Bradford, so they made the trade with the Eagles instead. Kelly's a politician and very strategic with what he says, but I'm not sure he's an out and out liar. he apparently was telling the truth about this one.

With all due respect to you and bobbyuk, who would agree with any Eagles official who said the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, Jeff Fisher being offered a number one pick for Bradford is not the same thing as Chip Kelly being offered a number one pick for Bradford.

That's fair. But I do think Fisher saying he was offered a first for Bradford makes it much more believable that Kelly was also offered a first for Bradford.

Actually I read an article very recently where the Ram's coach or GM said they were offered a low 1st rounder for Bradford. Chip is probably being straight.
See the latest Philly sports news and video on the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers.
