I think Kelly didn't like his running style. That's a much more believable reason to trade McCoy than he simply saying he didn't like him personally, in my opinion.

In fairness to JoeLo he didn't say whether it was personal or something else... He just said Kelly didn't like McCoy without specifying the reason why.

I think this was done on the fly a little.

They were going with Gore and that left town so when they made the Shady trade I don't think they were thinking Murray.

It's actually plausible that they were moving McCoy because of the money and the desire to get two defensive players for him, in effect.

And then this presented itself.

Who knows, maybe the Bradford thing was a plan B (CJ) move after they didn't get the safety?

Leading to Murray after Gore was gone ... pretty zany offseason.

"Getting rid of Shady" IMO wasn't the main thing, it was getting Alonso.

Chip also said he was going to call Shady once the trade was made official but the Bills leaked it. Still called him later that night and got voicemail, for what it's worth...
