  • Chip on WRs

We think in terms of our model that it’s a really good draft for wide receivers. We also have a lot of confidence in some of the guys we have. Jordan Matthews had an outstanding year for us as a rookie, he’s going into Year 2. Josh Huff, we got a lot of high expectations for Josh, we’re excited about him.

We have Riley Cooper back. We also have some tight ends that have a lot of flexibility. Zach Ertz was a multi-position player for us and we also have … a Swiss Army knife in Darren Sproles that we can use in a lot of different ways.

But again, we do think the draft is very talented from a wide receiver standpoint. So we’ll take a real good hard look at that also.
Sings the praises of a couple guys and all he says about KKKooper is that "he's back." Let's hope this lack of praise means he may in fact not be back.

I don't know why there is the perception Kooper is Chip's guy. He was and has been Howie's.

kkkoopers value exceeds his cap hit. I think it's manageable next year, so I imagine he'll get cut.

I hate to agree with iowanosetacklefan but I would not be upset if they drafted Green-Beckham

I think cutting him this year actually costs more than keeping him. Hopefully the other WRs develop so that he's a 3rd or 4th receiver even if he meets his 2013 numbers.

Name any player in the draft that you'd like in the first round and chances are you'd be agreeing with one of Iowa's 50 different versions of his mock draft.

meant to say he'll get cut next year (2016).

I bet Chip loves Cooper as a blocker in the Red Zone.

In theory, I agree, but he just disappeared last year.
