Big East is #2 as a conference in RPI, better than ACC and Big 10. Their top third is just not as strong as the ACC's. Their bottom third is not as weak as the ACC's.

BE's conference strength of schedule (SoS) is also #2.

Uva (3), Duke (2), ND (11), Louisville and UNC (19) vs. Nova (4), Butler (22), Georgetown (23), Providence and St. John's. I don't care about the bottom third- that's not even close.

All of those ACC teams, with the exception of Louisville, would have won the Big East.

Cupcakes? Yea they have a bad record because 5 teams were in the top 15 most of the year. Two of the top three teams in the nation... It's not even a debate and this was Syracuses worst team I have seen in a long time and should of beat almighty nova at nova... Conference sucks.

Regardless of facts? Well the ACC has five ranked teams and more than likely 5 in the top 15 after this week. Big east will have 1... Butler and Hoya Saxa will be out with their TEN losses! Second best team in your league will have eleven losses at the years end. That's embarrassing and just shows how pathetic that league is now. The big 12 has five ranked teams. Big east is a joke dude. dont be butt hurt that the two best teams in the big east left making your league a joke(Cuse and UCONN). At least it allows nova to finally do something in the league.

Joe Lunardi is projecting 6 teams in the NCAA tournament from both ACC and Big East. However most of those ACC teams will be in the upper half of the field whereas most of the BE teams will be in the lower half.

As I've been saying all along, the ACC is stronger in its upper third; whereas BE is stronger in the middle and especially lower third.

If the BE gets a couple of teams in the second weekend of the tournament and Nova makes it to at least the Elite 8, they've succeeded in portraying the BE as one of the power conferences in men's basketball. This is in contrast to the mid-major conference that some predicted after the split in the old BE. They've already partially succeeded since the BE has the second best RPI as a conference.

LOL.... Syracuse deserves death penalty and UCONN tearing it up today. From NCAA champs to not making the tournament in a very pedestrian league. ( it will take a conference tourney victory on their home court to get a bid) Make sure you post your brackets so I can bet against your picks and make bank.
