Word is Eagles will Not keep Bradford

ESPN's Josina Anderson passes along buzz from the Pro Day circuit that "some coaches" around the league are "not convinced" the Eagles will keep Sam Bradford.

There's belief in league circles that Bradford will be used as trade bait to get to the Titans at No. 2 overall, where Chip Kelly could select Marcus Mariota. Kelly's affinity for Mariota is well known. Kelly has shown he isn't scared to make bold, complicated football decisions. It's anyone's guess as to what he'll do. We also wouldn't rule out a trade up to No. 1 overall. Bradford's pocket-passer style would fit well in new Bucs OC Dirk Koetter's offense.

They are trying to do a contract extension.. More guaranteed money - spread out to lower the cap. Unless you have some inside information thats what is being reported.

I haven't seen Chip Kelly confirm they are trying to extend/restructure Bradford. Did I miss something? Link please. Everything at this point is completely speculation. I would imagine they want to restructure/extend him. After all, they don't want his $40 million running back buddy pissed off.

It is all a guessing game like you said Chip has not said anything except he will not mortgage the farm for him, but if he can unload Bradford & the 20th pick and maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder to the Titans I think he will.

Jesus Christ, people will not give this up. They're not trading Bradford at this point. This fanbase has the hugest boner for mobile QB's. Kelly hasn't signed a single mobile QB to the active roster since he's been here.

He inherited Vick and got rid of him. They drafted Barkley and signed Sanchez. AND THEN HE TRADED FOR BRADFORD. A guy who just shredded his knee in back to back seasons. I think it's clear at this point that mobility is pretty far down the list of desired traits.

He wanted a guy with accuracy and a quick release. Foles is semi-accurate but can get wild. Foles also doesn't have the quickest release either. It's slower...but not Byron leftwich slow.

That's why he went with Bradford....guy who was supposed to have Manning-like accuracy and a quicker release.

So yes, your assessment of the mobile qb thing is correct. It's dumb. I fully expect Bradford to barely run...if at all.

Guys were open last year...Foles missed them. If he didn't, he would probably still be here.
