Eagles are a little tight on cap room.

Expect Ryans and Mathis traded or cut

Expect Bradford to have his contract extended with a much better cap number

in the end they prob will have around 20 million in cap space after the draft

I'm starting to think that Bradford just plays this year on this one year and then goes into next to negotiate if he has a good year.

like, he is due 12 million this year...and I think his rookie deal paid him 50 guaranteed. he really has no reason to renegotiate.

he could honestly do what maclin did and bank on himself. if he does that...he could get hurt and be done...or do really well and make a ton next year...either from the eagles or another team.

          I agree.

That is why I'm surprised about the D Murray signing after the Matthews signing. A backfield of Matthews, Sproles and Polk would have been solid as long as they all stayed healthy.

Andy R + Howie would have extended Cox and Kendrick. This appears to be a different approach to cap management.

How will Chip afford Bradford next year assuming he stays healthy? D. Ryan's is the only big $ that obviously is coming off, maybe Celek and Cooper.

Could that be one reason they are okay with the loss of Maclin? A solid deep threat along with the other weapons in Chip's offense would have padded Bradford's stats and increased his cost.

However, if they draft a deep threat WR this year, he won't likely have a big impact on the offense until his second year.
