...training by ISIS freedom fighters does not reflect university policy.
LOL...nice. They only speak on behalf of policy, not on behalf of human dignity. Gotta love the educrati.

P.S. And I call unfair low blow from the makers of that video with the figures on the grant monies Cornell receives from the government. They are trying to imply somehow that the grant money is somehow associated with the actions of that assistant dean.

Really, the guy who runs the organization that made that video and his supporters are assholes with an agenda.

Cornell does a lot of medical (e.g. NIH supported), agricultural, engineering and scientific research activities which are supported with government grants. That is what the bulk of the grant dollars are going to.

Yeah, he has a conservative agenda and, as is often done by extreme pundits from both sides of the aisle, they diminish their point by overplaying their hand.

What the f*ck is his point? Cornell is using government money to support terrorism?

I hate it when people say "both sides do it". Cornell has done a f*ckload more for this country that that guy ever will. Check out the nuclear research efforts during WW II (government funded, I might add) for example.

                  Are you kidding.

The only thing I saw in that article was the POINT that the Dean of Students at Cornell acted in a shockingly stupid manner.

I didn't read beyond the Post article ... if the guy at Project Veritas went beyond that article to do what you indicate than he is pushing that POINT to overplay the hand.

And you know damn good and well that both sides do it.

PS - I'm agreeing with you in case you missed it.

And if you insist that the other side doesn't do it, watch Bill Mahar or listen to Sean Penn for ten minutes.

Here is what I meant when said I hate it when people say "Both sides do it".

I think saying that is a bit of a cop out frequently used to avoid discussion of the relative merits of any idea or point either side may have. I think that concept is frequently used to dismiss things out of hand without really thinking about them.

I get that ... I was focused on a pet peeve I have about how valid points on both sides are sometimes lost because they don't shut the fuck up after making one and insist on pushing it to an annoying clearly agenda-driven stretch.
