  • Anyone still unclear re: LeSean McCoy's departure?

Or DeSean Jackson's, for that matter? "Doesn't fit Chip Kelly's offense" is code for he's a selfish motherf*cker who thinks he's bigger than the team, bigger than the game itself. Anyone who has played team sports, coached team sports, or managed teams of people knows what the problem is here. Chip's not putting up with prima donnas and I am TOTALLY on board with what he's trying to do.

    I agree to some extent...

...based on comment from the star players it's apparent they are unaware of "bigger" picture outside of their own world/pov.

But you often see such perspective expressed by people in similar positions within the structure of other industries. Production vs management, etc.

Sure you see that perspective expressed, but....

      ...that doesn't mean it's right.

Look, Chip Kelly is trying to change the program here and some people aren't buying into it. They're people who were schooled in the FF area. I'm no neophyte to this shit. I've been going to Eagles training camp since West Chester. The first time I went to a FF training camp, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. There was nothing getting done and the sessions were over before they even started. (I know some of that is CBA related) If that's what you grew up on, you are going to push back when Chip Kelly comes in and pushes the practice tempo. The ones with mettle are going to nut up and adapt. The p*ssies are going to fight it and resist it.

The most comical aspect is that he said the Kelly didn't like or respect "stars"--yet he signed 2 stars--Murray, the NFL's rushing leader, and Matthews to play in the backfiield--he signed another "star" to play DB.

I loved what McCoy did in Philly but he's coming off as a whiny bitch.

He actually aided in getting himself traded when he aid he'd restructure his contract but "I won't take any less". So he got traded and the Eagles, for his cap hit, signed, Murray, Matthews, and another player. And they didn't guarantee Murray 26M either.

Same as Jackson. Jackson whined about his contract after the playoff loss--so Kelly jettisoned him.

Your right though---he's trying to change the program and get the type of players that he wants.

I wouldn't say Matthews is a star. He's glass joe from Mike Tyson's punchout.

                I'm a big McCoy fan

And love what he did for the Eagles. That being said...when he was traded, you had to think he wanted the Eagles to suffer a bit from his absence...miss his play. Now that Murray has signed, not as much is being made about replacing him. It's like Chip rolled up to the party with a new dime piece, and Shady is stuck with some ugly girl with no titties. I can see why he is frustrated with his situation.
