Thanks to the (gasp, ugh, phew) dirtbag fucking Mutts. (That was not easy to say).

Still wonderful to see them win again vs the gutless, bush league Natinals

We're the Mutts, we're the Mutts, we're the no good fucking Mutts!

But I just despise these bush league Washington teams.

Seeing them lose fills me with joy.

It's a no-win scenario, but I'm with you. The Nats and their fans are insufferable. The worst kinds of bandwagoners. The absolute worst kinds of DC insiders who must be seen at whatever passes for "cool" in this town flock to Nats games now that they're good, though half the fans just drink outside the park well after the game has started. Once everyone finally makes it in, it's just another DC social cocktail hour. The game is background noise, nothing more.

It sucks, because I love baseball, the park is ok in terms of beer, food and lines of sight, the Phillies visit, etc. But I seriously don't think I can stomach another game this summer. Everything that's terrible about DC -- and there's a lot that's terrible -- is at that park every time the Nats play.

Aha! A man who truly understands.

i guess you have to live in the area to fully appreciate just how bush league all the sports franchises, their fans, and anything else to do with them are.

          How about:
The limited amount of parking available is now $40.00
To clear up confusion about street parking, they just decided that the meters will always be on in the vicinity of the park, including Sunday's and holidays.
One of my favorites......if the game goes past midnight, the fans who took the subway are fucked as it stops running then. In certain cases the metro will run after midnight, but only if the particular team in question (Natinals, Crapitals, Bullets) have paid the transit system in advance to be kept open.

And........of all the terrible sportscasters across the land, I find no pairing to be more more intolerable than Carpenter and Santangelo. Carpenter, in particular, has got to be the worst in the business. Just the sound of his voice and the inane dribble coming out of him makes my head want to explode.

Oh man, those announcers! They're part of the reason why I don't relate to Phillies fans who are unhappy with the new voices they're trying out post-Kalas. They're world class compared to the bozos down here. How did these guys get gigs? The worst part is how they try to spoon feed even the most obvious stuff happening on the field, but in their defense they know the audience has no idea what's going on. I swear every game is like a broadcast geared toward six-year-olds who've never seen a ball game in their lives.
