It has been a very long day. His back surgery is coming along but he still has a fever. Tests upon tests have been done and redone. I must say one has not lived until you have seen your husband scanned, x-rayed, vial upon vial of blood drawn and the coup de grace - catheterized.
He is eager to be sprung and come home. I think I may have crossed the line from patient advocate to noodge (old Yiddish) many times today without one bit of regret.
I just want my Sweetheart home with me. He would have already been home from the back surgery if not for what the "specialist" assumes is an infection.
J's frustration is growing exponentially. He had a chance to read some of your posts and really enjoyed it.
Many thanks and much Love, A

Reason: spelling
"It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you."
Sounds like he's kicking and screaming and, knowing our feisty board brother, that's a good sign. May today be the day he's sprung so he can continue to mend in the comforts of home!
"If I owned Texas and Hell, I'd rent out Texas and live in Hell!"
Absolutely keep on being the noodge. You need to (politely) push those people a lot of the time because they are so bogged down by procedural crap that they forget about the patient experience.
I posted the other day in Obbie's thread where he first said he was going into the hospital -- UNLIKE YOU!!
Where was your pompous bullcrap THEN??!!
there you go, drawing attention to what you have done that is so great, and jumping to a stupid conclusion.
Some of us actually contacted OB privately to express our good wishes without making a big show of it. I mention this not for attention, but to point out not everything has to be about oneself.
Alas, "getting it" has never been your forte.
EDITED TO ADD: and the fact remains regardless of the other thread, you took this get-well thread and made it be about yourself
