  • Roob Frank rates all Eagles 1st round draft picks since NFL-AFL merger

That's since 1970. Some memorable busts in here.

Second and third rounds here. The busts and overall values of the picks here don't sting the nostrils quite as much, IMO.

The high level of second and third round busts are horrendous.

Ben Smith played like Dawkins in his first 2 years, IMO. That is such a what-if story for me. Without the knee injury, its possible that he would have played with Dawkins. Thought Sismore would be a little higher.

Strange that he did not find a way to include the great Reggie White, 1st round pick in the supplemental draft during the USFL days.

That first round list would be hilarious except for the fact we are all still waiting for our first super bowl win.

Great organizations don't whiff on 75% of their first round picks. The fact maclin and Simon are top 7 says it all. Good players, sure. But ranked that high as all time first rounders pretty much says it all.

Twitter has ruined some of these writers for me

I used to follow Ruben and he was tweeting absolutely bullsh*t every 2 seconds. The thing that made me stop following him was he was coming back from some game or something and he stopped at a gas station that offered dry cleaning and he tweeted about that. Les Bowen too. Tweets CONSTANTLY. Hey Les: If I'm following you on Twitter, there's a REASON for that. It's not so that I could read your EVERY THOUGHT!
