What do you think we should do?

I need opinion, not facts. I'm saying we go all out to get Mariota. There's no upside to any of these other bums currently on our roster.

I think Mariota has a much better chance to be a great QB than Bradford does, especially in Kelly's offense. Even if it essentially means forfeiting a competitive 2015 season, it's worth it if we get an elite QB who can lead the team for 10-15 years.

It's still such a long shot, but I'm all for it.

How do you know Mariota will be a elite QB in the NFL? I also understand what you are saying though.

Ding, ding, ding. Totally aggree. If Chip Kelly thinks he can win with Mariota, what else matters?

Can't win in this league without a great QB. Mariota may not be that guy but gotta take the chance.

You also can't win in this league without a defense. Fuck Mariota.

I don't. It's a huge gamble, and it might not work out. It's entirely possible the Eagles pull the trigger and a few years from now we all look back and think, "that was a complete disaster." But I think it's worth swinging for the fences. I want to see what Kelly can do with HIS quarterback. That, to me, is worth giving up a lot.

I disagree. The Seahawks built their defense and tailored their offense to Wilson's strengths. He's not even a top 10 QB, but they protect him with a great running game, good playcalling and they don't ask him to throw the ball over 20 times a game.

Just keep taking QB's each draft and eventually one will fit what you want to do. I think they should take Petty if he falls to the 3rd.

For what it's worth, I still think it's far more likely than not the Eagles do that -- stay at 20 (maybe even trade back), try to address their many needs, and draft a QB in the middle rounds somewhere. And if that guy eventually works out, great. If not, try again.

He may be misstating the situation. Gathering value for possible moves is not necessarily the same as trying to trade back. All teams with picks that high would be stupid to not investigate their options.

All I know is, I'm not in Sam's Club or whatever geigh thing they're calling it. This is straight up a franchise without a QB, that's a bad place to be. They better address that in a major way, somehow.

Private Santiago is dead, and that is a tragedy. But he is dead because he had no code. He is dead because he had no honor, and God was watching.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
