I agree. But dumping DJax and Maclin and a 1st round pick for an unproven player to save some money does not improve the team. And that money is going to Bradford.

          Should have gone defense.

Dorsett is 5-9 he could be a character on The Big Bang Theory. A few months ago he was a mid round projection 3 - 5. Chip wanted a WR who can go up and win those 50-50 balls.

How is it great to use a first round pick to (hopefully) replace Maclin? They need defensive backs.

This is the best part of the whole scenario. They use a first round pick and don't improve the position over last year. This did not significantly strengthen the team with this selection. Maybe they are better off two years from now, but ehh...

then again I never thought Maclin was that valuable anyway.

                        They should have traded back.

If you think wide receiver is that important, it makes more sense to pay a proven quantity and use the first rounder somewhere else.

Jerry Rice couldn't out run a forklift. His 40 was bad. Speed is a great asset for a WR. I did read one report that Dorsett had bad hands but that looks like it was an older scouting report.

                            http://www.ninersnation.com/2015/3/8...ers-jerry-rice

"To give you guys some perspective on that, the greatest wide receiver to ever play the game, San Francisco 49ers great Jerry Rice, would have failed this pro day and been cut after running the 40-yard dash. Rice ran somewhere in the late 4.69 range or even slightly slower".

                                Good pick

Totally fine with it. A little surprised Strong was there but they must've liked Agholor better. Not huge or outrageously fast, but seems like a good fit.

They used Maclin's money for Maxwell and Bradford is going to need another guy to throw to since he's apparently going to be Chip's point guard.
