  • Rounds 4-7 are the real crapshoot of the draft

    You could WIN BIG!

Or if you lose, so what?

Seriously a mistake here costs so much less.

But who knows? You may find a hidden gem!

In the past Herremans, Trent Cole, Jason Kelce some of the better picks in those rounds.

We really need more 7's. Get back to the JoeLo era of untapped value.

I'd even go so far as to say that over the years the Eagles may have gotten more value out of their picks in the later part of the draft than those in the first rounds.

This is one reason why I was ok with the idea of packaging round 1 and 2 picks for Mariota.

That means that 79% of HOFers were drafted in the first three rounds. And the Eagles have historically sucked at drafting, so past performance might indicate future trends.

The remaining percentage is just drivel.

Agreed. We got one player out of the 2011 draft. Bunkley, Kolb, Laws, Watkins, Smith...these are the guys we take with our first selection in the draft(sometimes not in the first round). Foregoing them wouldn't be "mortgaging the future." They actually hit on Brandon Graham considering how bad other guys have been.

That article that ranked the draft picks over the past 40 years made it seem like we fared better in the second round than the first without even factoring value into the equation.

I like taking a bunch of random CBs and hoping one pans out.

We are getting decent grades for the picks:

                            B and a B minus.

Not great but I agree with the strategy of taking multiple cornerbacks. I think Chip left the building after the third round.
