  • La-El Collins

Apparently, he plans to sign as an UDFA after he's cleared.

    Get it done, Chip!

If he's cleared do whatever it takes to get him here! I highly doubt Chip will be interested though.

The phrase, "if he's cleared" is worse than "if he's healthy."

He's not considered a suspect right now. It might just be an awful set of circumstances. I don't think he was a major character risk before this incident, and he did come to Philly for a visit.

If they can land Collins, I'll feel much, much better about this offseason.

Might not be a bad thing in the end,,,

that remains to be seen. The one good thing here for him is he can pick the team,,,just the Money will not be there right away,,,,

Chip Kelly was asked about him. His reply "he's not on our board." Even if he's exonerated. The Eagles don't want anything to do that.

Chip seems prefer a certain type of player. I watched a lot of the press conferences for the new players. All of the interviews I watched the player was well spoken and articulate.

Was he asked about picking him up as a udfa or drafting him? I haven't seen the PC so I'm just curious because he apparently wasn't on any draft boards but a udfa is different.

Chip was referring to the Eagles draft board. He'll never be an Eagle regardless of how the investigation turns out.

If he's exonerated and cleared some team will sign him but it won't be the Eagles. The NFL is a business and a team like the Eagles will not want to be associated with him.

Collins better have all of his T crossed and his i dotted. Innocent or guilty he's in a load of shit. When the Odin Lloyd incident was first reported Arron Hernandez wasn't considered a suspect. That changed quickly.

I don't know who murdered Brittney Mills and her unborn child but someone wanted her dead.

When someone is murdered former spouses and ex boyfriends/girlfriends are seldom considered suspects. Why would the police want to talk to a former boyfriend who is about to become a millionaire just because his pregnant ex girlfriend was executed in her apartment. Rae Carruth didn't shoot his pregnant ex girlfriend. He was in his car following her. Some random car pulled up next to her and shot her through the window. This doesn't mean Collins is guilty but he is in serious trouble.

I don't know thing one about La'El Collins. But I do know the Eagles brought him to the NovaCare complex, which they usually only do with high character guys they are considering taking. That's the only thing I know about his character.

If Collins had ANYTHING to do with the murder, then clearly no team will want him, regardless of whether he's convicted of anything.

If you want to offer an intelligent response like the one Dolomite just did, or clue us into something you know and we don't, that's great. But don't compare me to a Cowboys fan just because I broached a subject hoping to generate conversation.

A few years ago, Les Miles posted a list of players who missed multiple workouts, made excuses for themselves and lacked self responsibility. Collins was on that list. Could he have matured? Sure, but that mixed with the current legal situation makes me think he's not someone Chip sees fitting in to the Eagles' culture.

If that's true, I'm surprised Chip even brought him in for a visit. Smokescreen possibly.
