  • Let's talk about Chip Kelly for a moment

In most articles you read about the guy you hear words like "science," "genius," "innovative approach," etc.

I have a hard time believing that this same guy would flush his team down the toilet to chase after a rookie man crush.

We're treating these rumors as fact, while in reality it looks like he's really addressing needs and making the team better.

I'm not saying we needed to get rid of McCoy/Maclin, but it looks like they've been replaced adequately.

Too much media and fan speculumization over everything. Just what the NFL wants.

I will just continue to watch every game and drink beer and complain and or praise as applicable.

...that everyone in this alleged trade offer has been someone (other than Mathis) the press has been talking about as possible malcontents or misfits on the team. Then the whole bunch of them show up in this rumor. It's kind of like the sort of thing that cable news would report as "sources said it might be possible that..."

I don't believe it. That's not just a move that could cost him his job. It would be catastrophic to his NFL career. He'd get another job but no NFL team would let him have control over personnel. He'd be a joke and ridiculed by his peers. Maybe not publicly but privately. I'm sure there are a lot of old school NFL guys who would enjoy seeing Chip knocked down a few pegs. He'd go back to college.

I think he tried to deal A LOT before the draft. Actually even without any trade for Mariota, he was much more aggressive and risk taking with his moves prior to the draft than most coaches/GM's would be.

But once the draft came up and he couldn't get the deal he wanted done he went to plan B. Too difficult to deal players during the draft.

I never once thought we were getting MM

In fact if he did give up 3 Number Ones for the Kid I think that would have been the straw that broke the Camels back for me....he's here for the long haul,,,Now lets see if Bradford can get it done..I don't listen to the Mediats not one bit...I never bought into that crap and expected to pick at 20....I love the Pick,,,finally a no brainer!

It was a media creation pure and simple. They took 1 + 1, tried to make 2 and came up with 4. Kelly never said he wanted Mariota; at the owners meeting he came out and said he wouldn't mortgage this organization's future on one player. He might have asked TN what it would take to move up but once he found out he then stopped it. Except for Bradford all the players supposedly involved were drafted by Reid and Howie. And Bradford's agents started making noises on Friday about how Bradford was "uneasy about Kelly following stories that he was trying to trade him", which was strange when Kelly said he talked to Bradford after they drafted Agholor and he said he was pretty geed up about getting a reciever in the first round--and Bradford never came out and disputed that.

Is playing with the most NFL ready players and not starting over really plan B?

yup. Plan A was to draft Mariota.

                    This is Plan B.

So if Bradford gets them to the NFCCG, does Fisher get shit-canned?
