      Neither unusual nor surprising.

Yeah, teams that make a coaching or GM change do this every year. You don't let guys go before the draft because they have too much inside info so you wait until a day or two after and part ways.

        It's a standard practice.

Remember when Ref said Chip was putting players lives and careers in jeopardy by using R/C cars to simulate players. That's still my favorite.

If this is standard it must be weird for the scouts that see the writing on the wall and now are supposed to help improve the team about to shitcan them. At the same time you don't want to burn any bridge or do a poor job since you will be looking for a new one shortly.

If you weren't so ill-informed, you'd be a better troll.

It's more than that. Chip has come up with a top secret new strategy for scouting.

We got together that first day after he got hired and organized the scouts and really integrated our scouts and our coaches," Kelly said. "I think the group of them did an outstanding job, and if you watched how well our scouts and coaches worked together, it's unique, I think, in terms of how we do it. But as we look at it, as we're trying to make the Eagles the best team out there, it can't be personnel department against coaches, coaches against personnel. You guys coach, we pick. We're all on the same side, and all we want at the end of the day is the same goal, is we want to win a championship."

Asked to elaborate on how the relationship between the scouts and coaches is unique, Kelly replied: "I'd like to, but I really don't want to share that.

John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.
