    In a BAC

You have to know under certain circumstances, like a lawyer and an HR guy show up in your office, whether you can lie. If you have the incredibly bad judgment to lie in this circumstance (or the arrogance to think you can get away with it), you lose. Every time.

Under other circumstances, as in business meetings, etc., yes, people lie all the time.

PS you lose every time not because of the underlying foul, whatever it might be, but rather because you lied to in an investigation. Every time. If you will pay me $500, however, I will teach you what to say to investigators that will not get you fired.

But now I realize you're just an uneducated piece of shit with a God knows why overinflated ego.

How dare you make this into a personal attacking on Dimmy. This guy has more going on in his little finger than you'll ever have I your entire sad life.

Better you should stick to writing stupid games for meatballs like yourself.

They don't have to prove that they cheated. I believe they cheated.

What they can prove is that the organization and Brady did not act in good faith and did not cooperate with an investigation which is the league's only means of policing this type of activity.

Like you said, there's no physical proof that they cheated, so just turn over your text records and say, "I never asked them to deflate them lower than the league allows. I'm sorry that these two employees did this."

Instead, they changed their story, grandstanded, withheld information and just generally pissed in the NFL's cheerios. Fuck those brazen, cheating pricks.

So did luck turn his phone in? This is just a trumped up report to make the patriots look bad.

That makes no sense to me.

If Luck was asked to cooperate with the investigation and he didn't, then and only then are Brady and Luck standing in the same place. Luck didn't lie about anything. Brady lied about knowing one of the equipment managers. He refused to hand over his phone when asked. And the Patriots did not make one of the equipment managers available a second time to be asked follow up questions.

That's enough right there to put Brady and the Patriots in the soup.

Reasonable people can disagree about the underlying cheating, but if I were on the "jury" the circumstantial evidence would be sufficient. You would find otherwise. But you don't need to even get there to hammer Brady because he lied and he didn't cooperate and neither did the Pats. Case closed.

There is also plenty of circumstantial evidence that suggests this was all a BS witch hunt from the NFL.

unless you go with a tin hat type theory that Goodell is trying to make the public believe he really will enforce stuff against his friends like Kraft and that's why he went after the Pats.

Even if you are correct and this was all a bizzaro sting operation so that the NFL will have fewer viewers for its opening game in the fall, then you still have Brady and the Pats lying and not cooperating. So they're still done, even if this was a sting operation.

Why the fuck would the league set out to defame its marquee franchise?

I can't answer why. I also can't answer why the NFL wells report omitted that the official who tested the balls said that to the best of his recollection the gauge he used had the balls in the acceptable range. Or why the NFL wells report omitted all of Brady's testimony. Or why the NFL wells report threw a fit that one of the locker room attendants wasn't available for yet another face to face meeting. Or why the NFL wells report does not think that the colts balls being deflated the same amount is pertinent information.

I am in fact an overcompensated dick or whatever it was that you called me. But while you and I agree that people in BACs lie all the time, I am saying from my perspective as a BAC lawyer, that when I show up in your office with HR and start asking questions, that is manifestly not the time to lie. If you've been looking at porn on your computer, 'fess up. If you've been padding your expense account, 'fess up. If you've been banging Marisa your secretary, 'fess up. Because if you lie on any of that, you'll be fired fast. If you confess, you have a chance to keep your job with some sort of bs remediation.

If Brady, in his first smarmy press conference, had fessed up, he would have skated. But he didn't. He made the choice. Now he's paying for it.
