What the heck would it matter? That's a much more severe penalty for the Patriots because they pick well in the first round. For the Eagles, it would be a shrug. So they lose out on Marcus Smith. Big deal tough beans who cares so what?

It's so true. Technically the Eagles lost a first round draft pick last year picking that bum Marcus Smith who did not have 1 tackle. It's not killing them right now.

The Patriots is the best team in the NFL to replace draft picks with vets. If they don't draft a DB they go out and get guys like Talib or Revis. They don't draft a RB or WR, they go out and get guys like Blount or a Amendola.

The common denominator is Belicheck/Brady. Vets from other teams love to play for those guys
