I always have found it interesting that the Patriots recent success followed the 2001 terrorist attacks on the US and the subsequent "Patriot" Act.

They always kinda sucked before then.

The NFL wouldn't be so crass as to market off of that, would they?

It only took 18 years for the NFL to make this a rule

Brady rule: Steps taken to protect QBs' knees.

I watched this game. Paup's intent was to injure. Some may disagree but there is no doubt in my mind. That was in 91. With that defense if Paup didn't destroy Cunningham knee the Eagles win the Superbowl.

"Paup hit Cunningham just above the left knee and knocked the Eagles' quarterback to his back as the pass fell incomplete. Cunningham stayed down and clutched his knee as the club's medical staff rushed to his aid. He was helped to the bench, then loaded into a cart and driven to the locker room.
Only after the game did Paup learn the full extent of Cunningham's injury. Two torn ligaments in the knee. Out for the season."

          I still have nightmares.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
