  • 8:30 pm (ESPN) - pivotal moment for the 6ers

Sixers need to grab one of the top 3 spots. Hopefully they will get very lucky and get the Lakers and/or Heat pick as well!

My prediction is 4th pick with new york or LA getting the first pick.

4th pick equals Mudiay or Russell, either of which would be fine. Or Hinkie surprises us all and takes Porzingis.

From what I've read, Mudiay is a TO machine and can't shoot. Yuck.

          Lakers apparently enamored with him.

And Russell isn't overly athletic and came up smaller against better competition than he did against cupcakes at OSU.

No prospect is perfect, they all have flaws, but I think either one of the guards will develop into very good NBA players.

This team lacks guys who can put the ball in the hoop.
I think Russell will do that. I also really like Hezonja from Croatia...great shooter at 6'8"

Mudiay's current lack of an overly effective shot doesn't stop him from scoring. The Sixers, under Hinkie, are a team that believes shooting can be taught. They believe their player development department is one of the best in the league.

MCW couldn't shoot, Mudiay hasn't even begun to try to learn how to. That's the difference in the two.

I'm not arguing Russell vs. Mudiay because I'd be happy with either.

What will be interesting to see is if they somehow get #1...will they trade down to 3 or 4?

They believe it can be taught and they believe they have a great developmental staff, but that doesn't automatically mean every player will develop that way. MCW falls into that category. He wasn't a raw offensive prospect, like a Noel or Mudiay, coming out of Cuse.

Mudiay hasn't had to rely on a jumper yet, thus, hasn't even really had his mechanics and what not worked on.

MCW was more or less 4 years older than Mudiay will be when he's drafted. It's easier to fix a 19 year olds shot than a 23 year olds.

thats my favorite prospect as well. Love Hezonja. Athletic too. Can finish at the rim and has size. Can shoot it well with a high, quick release.

I think that's probably the best idea as well. Can you imagine Towns,
Embiid and Noel? Could be really special.
