I'd be willing to bet that the overwhelming majority of people who will watch the self-aggrandizing ESPY circle-jerk have no idea who Bruce fucking Jenner is outside of his Kardashian affiliation.

That's quite possibly true - especially this year because it will be publicized through the Kardasian channels extensively. E! will probably do the red carpet special.

I kind of doubt it because Bruce fucking Jenner - he was a hero of mine as a teenage track and field guy back in the 70s - wouldn't be getting an ESPY if he were just a Kardashian. Even Kardashian groupies have a vague understanding of Jenner's fame. Jeez.

Ok, he'd have been on page one for a day.

PS - My son's a junior in college and he and his friends wouldn't know Bruce fucking Jenner from Bruce fucking Willis if he wasn't on the Kardashians.

Nor would my 25-year-old daughter or her friends.

Your comment was Jenner wouldn't be getting an ESPY if he were not a Kardashian but was simply formerly the world's greatest athlete. Do you really think that?

Yeah, I don't think he'd be getting the attention from the media in general or ESPN in particular if he wasn't in the culture limelight like he was before this happened.

              Renee Richards Part II basically.

Although, you may be right ... ESPN doesn't like to miss an opportunity to pat themselves on the back for how evolved and open-minded they are.

Christ, might as well give it to some race car driver.

Most likely the Baby Boomers will know. I'm slightly right after that group who knows more about Carl Lewis than Bruce Jenner. The Weaties box stands out though.

Giving Jenner an award for wearing a dress is stupid, not you.

Though I just read that Michael Sam won last year so I guess giving it to Kaitlyn is about par for the course.

What else can I say but ,"sorry".

I'm just really pissy these days. I'm now going into the 8th week since the surgery and I still have a lot of pain. It's definitely getting to me.

                        Caitlin Jenner can probably empathize.

No harm done. I can see how you read it that way. I'd be on a tripwire in your situation, too. Hope it's getting better.

Should be given to Chip for wagering on Sam Bradford's health. What Jenner is doing takes no balls at all.
