I agree. After Herremans was released, he thought he had the leverage to force their hand.

If Chip knew that the Mathis situation would end like this, would he still have cut Herremans? Irrelevant now, but still..

Either way, I question cutting Herremans more than cutting Mathis, because I think one situation helped exacerbate the other.
