  • RIP "Super Stat" Harvey Pollack

Harvey Pollack has passed away. The longest-tenured NBA employee who worked for the Warriors since the inception of the league and for the Sixers since their move here from Syracuse. Before all of that, he worked for the Philadelphia Sphas.

A Basketball Hall of Famer, Temple grad and creator of many statistical categories like blocked shots and the triple-double. Best known for scrawling the "100" sign on that piece of paper Wilt held up in the iconic photo that night in Hershey PA. More personally...always a joy to be around for a hack from the suburban Jersey papers, and a huge help when I was researching and writing my book.

    RIP "Super Stat"

        My condolences to you, T

It's tough losing these people who we knew along the way. Makes you reminisce about your own life.

Harv was a class act. Great guy, and a *HUGE* reason I do what I do today.
