He was a little late getting to the big party on the Parkway, so the Popemobile sped by me at Broad and South at about 60-70 mph. I felt bad for all those South Philly Catholics that waited for hours along Broad Street to see him.

It was also very weird to see black hat types that morning, checking out the rooftops along Broad and guys spot welding every manhole shut. They weren't taking any chances on an event happening.
