Though not on the same scale--not even the same round--I remember when the Eagles drafted Craig Erickson in the 5th round in the 91 draft and they didn't sign him. At the time, I believe he injured his knee during a bowl game and didn't want to sit behind Cunningham and McMahon. I think the next year he got drafted in the 4th round.
