  • EVAN MATHIS

Guess Chip really wasn't that wrong letting this guy walk. Still unemployed and only looked good because he was beside #71.. Heck I could look good beside that dude.

But Chip is a racist - media garbage!

I really noticed last year that he was getting run around too often in pass protection. He's insanely strong and is great at engaging on the move, but I don't think his feet are that great, which is probably why it took him so long to become a solid player in the league.

As much hype as the Cowboys' and Eagles' lines get for their run blocking, pass protection is still at a premium. Oddly enough, guys who are great run blockers tend to get more press and praise by analysts.

Year he made his first probowl peters was out the entire year.

He is unemployed because he thinks he is worth 10 mill/yr or whatever it was. Like gtfo Mathis, youve been hurt your whole career, youre old as shit. No one wants to pay you anything remotely close to that. He had a solid contract with the eagles too. Just a dumbass

No he wasn't. Peters missed 2012. Mathis' first Pro Bowl was in 2013.

This is what baffled me about his stance. Who was telling this guy he was worth more than he was set to make this season?

He is unemployed because he was cut after free agency and the draft when most teams already had their big money allocated.

I'd be interested if you have extra spots.

                    Yes Sir, absolutely!

And Mathis isn't unemployed because he was cut after teams already spent their money - plenty of teams have enough cap room, the dummy just thinks he is worth way more than what he is capable of producing. Put him next to King Dunlap let's see what he does then. Point is 71 makes mediocre look extraordinary. There is a reason he was a journeyman and crap until he started playing with the birds next to a beast!

You are right. My mistake. He was rated as the best guard in football that year though by pff. Pff stats are meh though.

                          This isn't the NBA

Teams can dump all the nonguaranteed money they want to sign whomever they want.

Can I get a team if I promise to pick all Cowboys and Redskins?
