Honestly, and I say this as someone who leans heavily (R) and conservative, but this is truly a three ring circus.
1) the idea that Trump is winning is an indictment of American politics.
2) It starts with the media. It's not that Fox is in the bag for the (R)s, it's that they're a) in the bag for establishment candidates (Scott Walker is a boob, Jeb is a Joke, Rubio is awful) and b) the questions contributed to the circus.
3) Abortion - decided, Gay Marriage - decided, Obamacare - decided. Why are we even considering these issues? Huckabee doesn't need another stage to blather on about something the SCOTUS decided 40 plus years ago.
4) Not one single question actually told me something about a candidate I didn't already know. At it's best, fox gave candidates time for talking points. At it's worst, they outright attacked candidates with garbage issues.
If there was a point to yesterday's "debate" besides ratings for Fox, let me know. Talking Heads can bloviate on who won. Looks like Trump won. All everyone is talking about is Trump. Good for him.
I do er trauma and I for one can tell you that there is a huge paridime shift in Healthcare due to illegals. Emergency room are being overtaxed with volume of patients with illegally using their golden cards for Healthcare. There is a copay if they go see their doctors so they go to the emergency room.
I have no problem with legal immigration but the quality of illegals coming through as a whole aren't the cream of the crop.
Search for Hazleton pa.
As a whole other providers and myself are thinking of emergency medicine as anti-darwinism.
I would ask these puppet heads: Do you think that there is a demand in this country for inexpensive labor? If so, do you think that this demand is being filled by illegal immigrants? Then I would ask: Have you ever had an illegal immigrant clean the gold-plated toilets in your mansion? Lock it.
The US is an Island of Prosperity in a World of Poverty. As the World sinks lower, the residents become more desperate to reach the Island. Laws diminish when death is the only alternative. That's just the way it is.
I think one point would be that if business's did legitimate background checks and refrained from hiring illegal immigrants then more money would stay here and maybe illegals would be less inclined to enter the U.S.
There is a personal responsibility to do right that is being ignored here.

I obviously lean the other way but I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment.
Now, I know this was the first "debate" and at some level a get-to-know the candidates forum but it was all high level talking points.
The little bit they talked about "entitlement" spending wasn't very enlightening beyond Christie kinda calling out Huckabee for implying that cutting back Congressional health plans saves anything more than fractions of pennies.
The main position on the Iran deal was it's bad and we'll get a better deal and make our allies go along with it. Pretty vague.
At least Trump openly discussed the role of money in politics. That was probably my favorite part.
Perhaps things will become more focused in future debates but I think that's doubtful.

Funny you mention that. Listening to Gov. Krispie complain that Rand was too busy posting videos of his speeches to get donations was kind of ironic. Isn't asking regular folks who like your message to donate sort of the way it's supposed to work?
Anyway, that's enough political yammering. I'll hang up, listen and maybe make a few more jokes.

Only if you think regular folks make the actual decisions.
