So, in his effort to get a pay raise to 8.5M for 2 years, and bitching about his contract for 2 years, and he and his agent saying they were going to "weigh all the options" and "not rush into anything", he signs with a team LOSING 3.5M? Wow, economics weren't his strong suit then.

I don't see this reported anywhere, though."If I was racist in my opinion of QB's, I wouldn't have a dog named Donovan." - downundermike

Especially at the end of his career. I took pay cuts when I was younger and single and knew I would make the money back. Mathis only has a few years left. No NFL player would go to a worse team for much less money because, as you said, the coach treats players like commodities (as if every team doesn't do that to some extent).
Bottom line: Mathis fucked up."Listen to McCarthy" - Art Vandelay

bump...might have been worth it to keep him over the shit out there nowJohn Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.
