I admit to being a high ranking crew member of the Chip Ship, and a big part of the attraction is he ain't FF.

That said, Kelly's not a rookie anymore, and while he has yet to win a playoff game, its a fact that nobody, not Walsh, not Lombardi, not Landry won 20 games in their first two years.

I also dont put a lot of stock in the notion that going back to the college is his safety net. You could say that about most NFL coaches.
