Well Quebec has the best strippers and strip joints in the free world. But to negate that they have the worlds worst politicians, French ones.... Its a wash. Never been to Texas, but they did shoot Kennedy so that does it for me. Get rid of them both.

It was colder than usual this past winter ... in the 40's during the day for some stretches and actually got near freezing some nights.

Generally during the day in the winter you need a jacket if you tee off before 10 am and from then you can just wear a shirt (in the 50's and 60's).

The summer is hot as fuck but not as humid as Florida.

It gets into the mid to high 90's and can have a heat index of over 100 in the afternoon from mid-July to early September ... tee off as early as possible then.

Only thing I don't like about most of the Carolinas is the traffic, but being from the NE it won't be a deal breaker for you.


If I lived in Fl. I'd spend summers somewhere else.

I haven't been to Myrtle Beach in over 15 years but I hear has become a serious sort of college and hipster party town

I like Hilton Head ... not too geezer-ly ... feels more like a resort than a retirement community, if you know what I mean

Honestly Ric, I could never make my mind up, so my plan is to keep the house here in Stickville, ( 600.00 a year in taxes for house and 40 acres) and then be able to travel anywhere I want to visit.


BTW, you ever check out the Virgina coast, just north of the Hampton? Some nice places along there and not quite as hot/humid or traveled.

You referring to the Northern Neck on the west coast of the Chesapeake or the Eastern Shore of VA? I like them both, just wouldn't pick them for retirement locations for an dude out of NJ.

Haha I love the idea of Cali, but not a chance I could relocate there. I miss the East Coast bad but not the snow..

If the Carolinas weren't so nuts I would be there in a heartbeat!

To get wifey to move to Charlotte or a little further South. I'm sick of this state. If I never see another flake again, it'll be too soon.
