    Yeah, I thought Barkley was being groomed. Why else was he on the team?

      The same plan as every team with a franchise qb and question marks at 2 or 3 ... which is the virtually all of the NFL.

        Straw man. I'm not asking for a franchise back-up. I'm asking for a decent developmental quarterback. I'm not interested in a 2-14 season to find the next QB.

          500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

            And I disagree that virtually all NFL teams don't have developmental quarterbacks.

            Kelly should have dumped Barkley sooner and drafted a QB this season instead of screwing around with Teblow.

                        2 or 3 doesn't matter. A developmental quarterback is common sense for a franchise. You would have one.

                          Charlie Ward won the Heisman and lost in the National Championship game and he's wasn't even drafted.

                          Ward made it known that he expected to be taken in the first round and if he wasn't he could possibly explore options in another sport. Evan Mathis isn't the first player to overplay his hand.
