  • Worst Eagles team I've ever watched

Go fishing with your kids next Sunday. Do something. If you give four hours of your life to this team, you're a fool.

      You're A Youngun, Aren't You?

Trust me, there have been Eagles teams over the decades that make this bunch look like the greatest team in history.

That said, this certainly has been nauseating to the Nth degree.

I go back to the bad old days of the Swamp Fox. This is some of the worst football I've ever laid eyes on.

Sam Bradford needs to retire. Football ain't his game.

Here's the deal: the season is over. The team has nothing. To spend another minute of your time consuming this rancid product in the futile hope that it might amount to something worthwhile is an act of abject foolishness.

Turn it off. Not another wasted minute, not another fucking crab fry. You don't get this wasted time back. Fuck this noise.

              That is all.

Some Of The Worst -- Without A Doubt -- Pathetic

But as one who saw the 1960 title team and every one since, this defense alone makes this team skads better that many of its predecessors.

This offense? You may be right.

I did qualify it "...I've ever watched". My lifetime is my only frame of reference. This is the worst football I've ever seen.

                    Well That Ain't Gonna Happen

Start watching reruns of My Mother The Car after two games? Never. I'll stop watching when the Eagles have played their final game, as always.

At some point, this "I'll watch no matter what" mantra starts to take on a battered wives' syndrome mentality. We're mindlessly, slavishly following an organization that does nothing right, while doing everything consistently wrong. We've watched the hapless Bucs, the hapless Seahawks, the expansion Ravens, etc. luck into Super Bowls, just because the statistical probability says it must happen. Yet somehow, against all odds, this franchise is trapped in a permanent state of mediocre nothingness. And the one chance we had in the modern era to actually achieve something, the league looked the other way while their chosen franchise cheated their way to yet another victory.

Four hours in the middle of my Sunday afternoon is an investment. It's the centerpiece of my day, which is one half of the weekend I spend all week looking forward to, The idea that I'm going to blindly dedicate that time to this team and this league, no matter what, is insane... and I won't do it anymore. There are plenty of things I can do that will actually bring me and my family a modicum of joy. Watching this crap league, with its relentlessly obnoxious commercials and its retarded/fixed officiating does nothing but make me feel like a fucking schmuck for ever turning it on in the first place.

Fuck this. I'm done with it.

                          Exactly

It's like in order to be a fan you have to go full Dave Spadaro and have no doubts about the shit being fielded every year.

I agree, Duck. It's hard to put everything in context right after the fact, but I think today was one of the alltime worst!
