This whole team is full of players who aren't Eagles. There's nobody here with any passion or fire for this team, this city. Peters is not an emotional leader. Everyone out there's from another place, with learned hatred for other teams - one even BEING the Eagles. Our defense, down TEN POINTS, took the QB OF THE DALLAS COWBOYS OUT of the game and may have very well ended his time in Dallas. And yet that wasn't enough to fire up our offense and turn the tide. It really makes a ton of sense. When you 'recruit' a team of guys from all over the 'country,' they don't have any continuity or passion for the city they represent.

I think Sproles is playing hard for this team, and I think Jenkins is on defense. They seem to me like they WANT to win. Almost everyone else is just going through the motions. Murray was all fired up, but I think that had way more to do with wanting to beat his old team than it did with wanting his new team to win.

I have a hard time putting a lot of blame on the overall defense. They were on the field for 3/4 of the game.

But I agree that Maxwell has been lackluster as far as individual play goes.
