He should have let him quit or called his bluff. I'm not a fan of Roseman either but at least Reid waited until he took the team to the Super Bowl before his power play. Lurie was in a tough spot but alot of times employees want promotions without a full body of work and you have to tell them they are not ready yet.

I wasn't the biggest Roseman guy, either, but I liked what he represented: a power structure where the coach doesn't have all the power. I thought Lurie had learned his lesson when Reid didn't work out in that role. If Kelly was able to convince Lurie that Roseman sucked, then Roseman should have been fired and replaced by another GM. Not by the coach.
It works for Belicheat. Most coaches aren't Belicheat.
